Overview
A user-friendly digital display allows you to adjust suction control or set it to automatic – Where it will adjust according to the surface, from upholstery, to thick shag carpets and even hardwood floors. The motorized brush-roll, designed for multiple surfaces is adjustable at the touch of a button, keeping you in control of the task.
Additionally many functions can be controlled via the wands control handle. Adjust power, turn the vacuum on-off. It’s all at your finger tips.
I rented one of these vacuums to clean my apartment before I moved out. I needed something that could manage all surfaces, was powerful, and wouldn’t require me to keep emptying it to continue. I was recommend this, took it home and used it. I was so impressed that when I moved to my new place and had the funds, I bought one for myself.
Features
You can argue that vacuums that use bags are outdated, but Electrolux does it right. The machine is well built, the plastic is nice and sturdy, and the material they use is called lexan, which is a durable polycarbonate. High quality stuff. It’s light too, which is a bonus.
On the main face of the canister unit, there the digital display. Very cool looking, very easy to use and having the control is nice but it’s automatic suction control is very reliable. There are other controls on the telescopic wands.
A great feature is that there’s a warning light for practically everything that could go wrong with your vacuum. If your filter needs changing, if your bag is getting full and even if the brush-roll gets stuck and stalls – The machine will let you know. It’s very helpful in that way.
The EL7085ADX is specially sealed and combined with a HEPA filter, preventing almost 100{13d535ddeae1a90f42b9ff1586906b2be87669b7e44aacb62d19711cfd014a97} of dust and allergens escaping the unit. Combined with the Electrolux S filter bags, you’ll save money and do a whole lot of efficient cleaning.
The Electrolux EL7085ADX also comes with the typical wands and crevice tools expected in most vacuum cleaners of this variety. Including the versatile, multifaceted attachment enabling you to clean different surfaces such as stairways and behind furniture.
Performance
Performance wise – It’s powerful and fairly quiet. It holds up well on multiple surfaces as it is intended to do, but you may need to do a little playing around with it to get the most out of this machine. Read the manual. Get to know your vacuum intimately.
If there’s anything negative to say about this product it’s that it being sealed doesn’t help at all when you have to take the bag out. A significant amount of dust is going to get ejected into the air and it’s considerably more than a fraction of a percent.
Oh, and it’s not cheap.
Verdict
This vacuum is a shining example of the idea that you get what you pay for. It’s difficult to find fault with the Electrolux UltraOne EL7085ADX, and for the price, that’s exactly how it should be. If you can afford it, and you look after it, you will never need to buy another vacuum again.
