Remember the Electrolux jingle way back in the 80s? It was so catchy that a lot of people opened their door to Electrolux salesmen. My mother was one of them, and I was one of those who oohed at the demonstration.
The vacuum cleaner even made quick work with the dust on our windows!
Decades later, it was this memory that made me buy the Electrolux Ergorapido Brushroll Clean 2-in-1. But, do I love it?
It’s cordless and comes with a rechargeable stand.
It’s lightweight, highly maneuverable, and boasts of the following features:
- It comes with its own headlight so that you can see what’s in front of you.
- Unlike most vacuum cleaner, it’s quiet and glides easily on the floor.
- The swivel head can be turned up till 180 degrees.
- Strong suction power, can easily pick up even pet hair.
If you are the top maintenance officer in your home, you know how difficult it is to settle on one kind of vacuum cleaner because most homes have several types of surfaces while vacuum cleaners like to specialize. The Electrolux Ergorapido, however, was a jack-of-all-trades.
It can tackle just about any surface, be it hardwood or throw pillows.
Don’t let its slim frame fool you, its suction power can give even bigger vacuum cleaners a run for their money.
Our golden retriever sheds hair all year long. The EL1064A picks up even the tiniest of his hairs. No more pet dander around the house, which is a trigger for my asthmatic son.
Even though this cleaner is powerful, its petite frame allows it to pass through hard-to-reach areas. I used to get down on my knees to wipe the dirt that gather under my stairs. I have not done that for some time now.
It’s easy to lug around the house because its only about 4 kilos.
For the curtains, it makes like a Transformer robot and the handheld vacuum comes off.
It only requires a small storage space in my broom closet.
The best thing about it is that its cordless. I don’t have to worry if I have an outlet in the room. Charging is quick too!
While its a great vacuum cleaner, I am not sure if its a good value for your money.
The suction power tends to diminished after repeated uses. I may have overcharged the cleaner many times which affected the quality of the battery.
Maybe if you charge properly, you can extend the life longer, but mine gave out after a year.
In my opinion, the Electrolux Ergorapido EL1064A is a keeper. Its only disadvantage is the value for your money. However, if you do the math, you will find that even if it lasts only a year (worst case scenario?), you’re still paying very little each month for a beautiful, powerful, dual purpose vacuum cleaner.
There may be cheaper vacuums out there, but can you find something as useful and versatile as this Electrolux vacuum without breaking the bank? If you still need help deciding, just check out some of the customer feedback that it’s gotten already.
