Dyson DC35 Vacuum Cleaner Review

The Dyson DC35 vacuum cleaner is not your average appliance for reasons I will share with you in this post. Think about a functional vacuum cleaner that does an excellent job, and is aesthetically pleasing.

While the latter may not be a deal breaker, it certainly is motivational to have an appliance that boasts of a great aesthetic design.

There are a few features that make it stand out, and this Dyson DC35 review is going to cover them all. They include:

  • Practicality
  • Portability
  • Attachments
  • Design

Practicality

At the core of any reliable vacuum is the need to have an appliance that is both functional and practical. This is one of the many Dyson vacuum models available that live up to this; something that continually wins me over as far as choosing the brand is concerned.

This vacuum cleaner is relatively compact, and therefore excellent for anyone who would love to save on storage space, or like me, who lives in a small apartment. I love that with this model, you can easily mount it on the wall provided it remains upright.

Portability

It is amazing to use the DC35 for the simple reason that it is cordless. I find wired machines a tad bit too cumbersome – what with the risk of tripping over when cleaning? The battery capacity lasts just about 15 minutes, perfect for quick cleaning especially at those hard-to-reach corners.

The DC35’s portability means that it also doubles up as a car vacuum, certainly a big advantage if you are constantly on the go like I am. Simply plug in to charge the battery, unplug and clean away. It is important however, to mention that due to its limited charge, the DC35 may not be ideal for you if tasked with cleaning expansive spaces.

Attachments

Having used vacuum cleaners for a while now, I realize that in addition to the basic functionality, attachments make all the difference when it comes to improving functionality. This Dyson model does well as far as attachments are concerned. These include the floor vac attachment, the non-motorized brush as well as the long wand.

The floor attachment features a sturdy brush with bristles made of carbon fiber, and whose sole purpose is to get rid of deep-seated dirt and debris in carpets. The long wand is practical for reaching far corners while the non-motorized brush is perfect for cleaning mildly grimy surfaces. The crevice tool is also an ideal addition.

Design

The DC35, as is expected, bears the distinct Dyson design: valves with vibrant colors, a see-through canister as well as the patented Cyclone cleaning technique. Additionally, getting rid of accumulated dirt is easy with the inclusion of recyclable filters. The trigger button for greater suction power is also an additional perk in the DC35’s design.

The Dyson DC35 model does not come cheap, but for what it is worth, its durability is certainly a plus for homeowners who desire longevity of use. The powerful and lightweight vacuum cleaner is a great addition to your home, and is a product I highly recommend to battle dirt and debris.
